Can AMI be used in any region?

Once an AMI is created and registered, it can be used to launch new instances. Its also possible to launch instances from AMIs not belonging to a user if launch permissions are granted by the AMI owners. An AMI can be copied into the same or a different AWS region, which are the locations where AWS is available.

Once the customer makes a change, they can click on the modify contract button to commit the changes. The new terms go into effect immediately and the previous terms are overwritten, with no interruption to thier existing service.

What is the difference between query and filter in AWS CLI?

Essentially --filter is the condition used to select which resources you want described, listed, etc. On the other hand --query is the list of fields that you want returned in the response.

Is Amazon AMI region specific?

AMIs are a regional resource. Therefore, sharing an image makes it available in that Region. To make an image available in a different Region, copy the AMI to the Region and then share it. AMIs with encrypted volumes cannot be made public.
