XML standards specify how XML processors should handle the whitespace. XML Parsing: The XML spec provides a built-in attribute xml:space to tell the XML parser whether it should ignore the whitespace characters. This attribute is inherited by child elements from their root element.
To preserve white space within object element content, specify xml:space=preserve on that object element. Under most interpretations, the xml:space attribute effects and the value of the attribute are scoped to child elements.
White space in XML is any character from the following set: space, tab and blank line/new line (except hard return). White space serves the following purposes: Visually format the document in its source form, such as for code, to denote semantic significance for the XML document.
Insert directly in the XML for a blank you would like to preserve. Android doesnt support keeping the spaces at the end of the string in String. xml file so if you want space after string you need to use this unicode in between the words. It is a unicode space character.
Specifying special characters in XML request ● Ampersand () - amp; ● Less than () - gt; ● Quote () - quot; ● Apostrophe () - apos;
The most explicit way to represent a null value in XML is to include an empty tag set for the data item.
As per the XML guidelines, the attribute xsl:space=preserve must be added to the tag. The queries below demonstrate XML data that has been loaded into Snowflake. With the added attribute, the parsed version now preserves the leading and trailing spaces in the tag value.
