Early signs of congestive heart failure excess fluid in body tissues like the ankles, feet, legs, or abdomen. coughing or wheezing. shortness of breath. weight gain that can't be attributed to anything else.
Short-term or long-term treatment with calcium-channel blockers may worsen heart failure and increase the risk of death in patients with advanced left ventricular dysfunction.
