welcome ladies and gentlemen so what i like to do is show you how to write this trinomial as a product of its factors which we call factoring so to go ahead and do that um one thing that i like to do especially when we like factoring when a is equal to one when im looking at the standard form of a quadratic so we want this to be one in this case we have it as negative one um so what im going to do in this case is im actually going to factor out a negative one out of all the terms so if i divide out negative 1 from each one of my terms i now will have a negative times x squared minus x minus 20. okay so you can see you can go back and you know apply distributive property multiply this negative 1 times each of these terms and get back to our original problem but again we want to see you know is the can we write it as a product of more factors can i factor this down again and to do that we can use uh kind of like my x or diamond method which really is just an x where what were going

A factoring contract is an agreement where a small business sells outstanding invoices to third parties known as factors in exchange for upfront cash. When these invoices, or accounts receivable, are paid by clients, the money will go to the factor, rather than the small business itself.
If a small business decides to end a factoring agreement, there is usually a termination fee paid to the factor, which is usually a percentage of the credit line from the factor.
You invoice your customers for those goods or services. You sell the raised invoices to a factoring company. The factoring company pays you the bulk of the invoiced amount immediately, typically up to 80-90% of the value, after verifying that the invoices are valid. Your customers pay the factoring company directly.
Disadvantages of factoring The cost will mean a reduction in your profit margin on each order or service fulfilment. It may reduce the scope for other borrowing - book debts will not be available as security.
What Is a Factoring Agreement? A company and a factor enter into an agreement in which the factor purchases a companys accounts receivable (such purchased accounts are called factored accounts), collects on the factored accounts, then pays the company the purchase price of the accounts.
You will have the right to terminate a factoring agreement, but a term length is usually outlined in the agreement, as well as rules for how far in advance this must be done to avoid renewal or cancellation charges.
The three parties involved in a factoring arrangement are the seller, the debtor, and the factor. The debtor owes the seller money, usually from the purchase of goods or services.
