Moving a due date in Zip isnt instant though. Theres a 24 delay before the changes take effect. And while theres a 7-day grace period before you get hit with a late penalty, its important to keep in mind that youll need to move a due date at least a day before the grace period ends.
If your purchase amount is more than the available funds in your Zip account, you can make a co-payment with your debit card to cover the difference and complete your purchase.
CAN CUSTOMERS CHANGE A PAYMENT DATE? Customers can request to move a payment date moved by contacting support@quadpay.com. Please note, it can take 24-48 hours for the update to be reflected. If a customer does miss a payment, as long as they pay within 7 days of the payment date they wont be charged a late fee.
Free payment rescheduling: While some BNPL lenders wont let you change your payment due date, Zip lets you reschedule one payment for free each calendar month. Additional payment changes made within the same month include a $2 fee, which is a lower rescheduling fee compared with other providers.
At Zip, we understand that life comes at you fast, and we want to make things easier. At least 24 hours before an installment is due, you can update your payment date in the Zip app. Your first payment date change in a calendar month is free however any subsequent changes within that same month will incur a $2 fee.
If Zip cant approve your payment, Zip will let you know why but its most likely for one of the following reasons: You dont have a valid payment method linked to your Zip account. Youve docHubed your credit limit for your account. Your Zip account payments are overdue.
If your circumstances have changed, you may be eligible to reapply for a Zip Pay account 12 months after your last unsuccessful application. As an alternative in the short term, you may be eligible to apply for a Zip Money account, Zips product for larger purchases over $1,000.
For example: If you make two purchases in February, you will receive a statement of your closing balance on 1 March. Youll have until 31 March to repay the full closing balance without being charged the $9.95 monthly account fee. No worries if youd prefer to take extra time to repay your balance!
