If you have new and compelling information that was not included in your original application, contact the Office of Admissions by calling 352-392-1365 to discuss the appeals process. If you are eligible to appeal, an appeal form will be placed on your admissions status page.
If the admissions officer determines s/he is a candidate with new and compelling information not listed on the application then they will mail an appeals package. Here is the reality straight out of UF admissions: they get a few hundred each year and less than 1% of appeals are granted.
Acceptance rate: 12.6%
College Requirements 3.50 or higher GPA on all courses taken at UF beginning the semester after accumulating 60 credits.
An appeals process is available for students who do not meet the GPA requirement and / or do not earn their 2 academic points (honors course category) due to an honors course grade / withdrawal. Students who do not attempt to earn their 2 academic points (honors course category) will not be eligible to appeal.
If you are eligible to appeal, an appeal form will be placed on your admissions status page. Appeal forms will be available beginning March 4. Appeals must be received by March 29 for those who received a decision February 23. Appeals must be received by April 15 for those who received a decision March 29.
Academic probation will be continued for all undergraduate students as long as they have less than a 2.0 cumulative grade point average. It will be removed when the grade point average becomes 2.0 or higher. Should the grade point average fall far enough, the student will be dismissed based on Dismissal policy.
