To suppress page numbers on a single page, use \thispagestyle{empty} somewhere within the text of the page.
Now highlight the page number at which you want to start the numbering. From the Header Footer Tools menu, unclick Link to Previous. With the number still highlighted, choose Page Number from the top menu, then select Format Page Numbers. Under Page Numbering, choose Start At and then select a starting number.
7. To ensure your pages begin with 1, go to the Insert tab Page Number. Select Format Page Numbers Page numbering Start at and add 1.
Page numbering the style of page numbers can be changed by the \pagenumbering command; the location of page numbers can be changed using the fancyhdr package.

On the Insert tab, select the Page Number icon, and then click Remove Page Numbers. If the Remove Page Numbers button isnt available, double-click in the header or footer, select the page number, and press Delete.
Go to Insert Header Footer. SelectOptions on the right side, and then select Different First Page. Select Options again, and then select Remove Page Numbers.
With the cursor in the footer, click Page Number and then Format Page Numbers. In the Page Number Format window, set the Number format to 1,2,3, Under Page numbering, select Start at and set the number to 1.
To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format. To change the starting page number of the newly created section, select Start at, and then enter a number. Select OK.
