The value space of xs:float is float (32 bits) floating-point numbers as defined by the IEEE. The lexical space uses a decimal format with optional scientific notation. The match between lexical (powers of 10) and value (powers of 2) spaces is approximate and is done on the closest value.
Primitive data types are built into XML schemas. Examples of primitive data types are string, float, decimal, anyURI, and QName.
The date is specified in the following form YYYY-MM-DD where: YYYY indicates the year. MM indicates the month. DD indicates the day.
The decimal data type is used to specify a numeric value. The following is an example of a decimal declaration in a schema: An element in your document might look like this: 999.50
XSD (XML Schema Definition), a recommendation of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), specifies how to formally describe the elements in an Extensible Markup Language (XML) document.
A data type within an XML document is a type that has been assigned to an element on the instance using the dt:dt attribute, or through an XML Schema, a formal definition of an XML document. In addition, data types can be declared as elements. The XML parser uses the data type information to validate the document.
xs:decimal is the datatype that represents the set of all the decimal numbers with arbitrary lengths. Its lexical space allows any number of indocHub leading and trailing zeros (after the decimal point).
The decimal data type is a machine-independent method that represents numbers of up to 32 docHub digits, with valid values in the range 10 -129 - 10 +125. When you define a column with the DECIMAL( p ) data type, it has a total of p ( = 32) docHub digits.
