People love to imagine that the things they dont understand. are somehow connected to each other. For example, quantum mechanics and consciousness, or aliensand pyramids, or black holes and dark matter, or dark matter and dark energy, dark energy and black holes. Usually theres no real relationship whatsoever, but this last pairblack holes and dark energy being the same thinghas received some recent hype in the press. Lets see if it might actually be true. Heres the idea in a nutshell. Black holes areapparently made of dark energy. As the universe expands, black holes in that expanding space gain mass proportional to the increasing volume of the universe. Which results in two things: one, black holes should be growing faster than we expect based only on what they eat. And two: black holes could actually be the cause of the accelerating expansion of the universe. This is the claim in an article by University of Hawaii astrophysicists Duncan Farrah and

Cervical cell classes: (A) normal squamous, (B) normal columnar, and (C) low-grade dysplasia; (D) high-grade dysplasia (HGD) with moderate dysplasia, (E) HGD with severe dysplasia, and (F) carcinoma in situ.
A normal (or negative) result means that no cell changes were found on your cervix. This is good news. But you still need to get Pap tests in the future. New cell changes can still form on your cervix. Your doctor may tell you that you can wait three years for your next screening test if you received a Pap test only.
There are five main categories of abnormal Pap smear results within the Bethesda system: Atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US). Squamous intraepithelial lesion (SIL). Atypical squamous cells that may or may not be HSIL (ASC-H). Atypical glandular cells (AGC). Cancer.
ASC-US is the most common abnormal Pap test result. ASC-US stands for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. Squamous refers to the type of cells that make up the tissue that covers the cervix. LSILThis means that the cervical cells show changes that are mildly abnormal.
A Pap test finding that means no cancer cells or other abnormal cells have been found on the surface of or in the tissue that lines the cervix.
In most cases, an abnormal Pap test is a result of: A human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. A sexually transmitted infection (STI or STD), such as herpes or trichomoniasis. A bacterial or yeast infection. Inflammation in the pelvic area. Normal cellular changes that occur with age.
A Pap smear is a safe way to screen for cervical cancer. However, a Pap smear isnt foolproof. Its possible to receive false-negative results meaning that the test indicates no abnormality, even though you do have abnormal cells. A false-negative result doesnt mean that a mistake was made.
Endocervical glandular neoplasia (invasive endocervical adenocarcinoma [EA], adenocarcinoma in situ [AIS]) is difficult to detect on Pap tests and represents a common source of false-negative diagnoses and interobserver discordance in cervical cytology.
Class 5 is cancer that has started to grow deeper into the cervix. This stage of cancer can spread to other parts of the body. The new classification system replaces the traditional classes with terms describing the microscopic changes in cervical cells.
Its up to 30 percent of people [who] are falsely positive. Women who have a positive Pap smear generally get a colposcopy, which is an even closer examination of the cervix, vagina and vulva for signs of disease. A false positive could mean going through a biopsy during a colposcopy.
