welcome back this is Larry been Co w0q e and this is a review video on the topic of negative component values this topic was presented in the very first video I did on Sam Smith and has been used in several other videos but from comments I get it is still not understood well hopefully I can do a better job of explaining the reason for negative valued components and how they allow SEM Smith to easily solve an important class of problems to show how negative components can be useful within sin Smith letamp;#39;s start off with a conventional matching circuit we have an impedance here shown at the load two components that we are using to match to a generator which is 50 plus J 0 we see a graphical representation of what we did here Sam Smith is doing two calculations at the moment probably doing more than two but I view it as two fundamental calculations itamp;#39;s doing an impedance calculation going this direction we see that on the Smith chart we see it load impedance which starts d

One way to perform a not match operation with regex is by using the caret (^) symbol. In regex, the caret symbol has a special meaning when used at the beginning of a character class. It negates the character class, effectively excluding any characters that match the pattern within the character class.
The Match-one-or-more Operator ( + or \+ ) This operator is similar to the match-zero-or-more operator except that it repeats the preceding regular expression at least once; see section The Match-zero-or-more Operator ( * ), for what it operates on, how some syntax bits affect it, and how Regex backtracks to match it.
\b asserts the position at a word boundary. (?! not followed by. None the word we want to ignore i.e. should not match. \b asserts the position at a word boundary. ) ends the negative lookahead. \w+ still match anything other.
For that, a negative lookahead can be applied. The syntax is: X(?! Y) , it means search X , but only if not followed by Y .
In regex, the uppercase meta-character denotes the inverse of the lowercase counterpart, for example, \w for word character and \W for non-word character; \d for digit and \D or non-digit. The above regex matches two words (without white spaces) separated by one or more whitespaces.
To use the negation operator, you place the ^ metacharacter immediately after the opening square bracket. For example, [^abc] matches any character that is not a, b, or c.
OR Operator (|): E.g., the regex four|4 accepts strings four or 4 . Character class (or Bracket List): []: Accept ANY ONE of the character within the square bracket, e.g., [aeiou] matches a , e , i , o or u .
