If you find yourself with an ink that is struggling to flow to your liking, you can do a DIY approach and add a little bit of water. It is important not to overdo this as too much water can ruin the inks properties. This way, youll discover which inks are wetter and drier than others.
This can be easily fixed by gently shaking the pen to loosen up the ink, or by using a dropper to add a few drops of water to the ink cartridge. If this doesnt work, you may need to clean the pen or change the ink cartridge.
If you still arent seeing ink flowing then one final thing to try is to soak a cotton bud in the warm water and rub it across the printhead. If this doesnt do the trick then the cartridge is almost certainly too dried out and youll need to buy a replacement.
How to reduce ink flow Use a dry ink. Sometimes all it takes is a drier fountain pen ink to create thinner lines and slow down the flow slightly in your pen. Adjust the tines. When increasing the flow of fountain pen ink, one would spread a fountain pen nibs tines farther apart. Modify the feed.
5 Ways to Fix Inky Smudges Grab a stamping sponge and use the same color ink to sponge more color on. If the smudge is toward the edge, you can just sponge the edges of your card stock. Use the edge of your ink pad. Cover it with an embellishment. Cover it with another layer of card stock. Cut it out.
Another deadly Korean superstition is writing a living persons name in red ink. Traditional Korean culture uses red to write the names of the dead and doing the opposite (writing the names of the living) is a big no-no and considered very unlucky and potentially life threatening.
Red ink is used for corrections or editing marks to make it easy to distinguish from the black or blue ink used for writing. So if you write in red ink, it makes it harder to distinguish the corrections or editing marks from what you wrote.
