In this video today we will see how to put header and footer on specific pages in Microsoft word. I have four pages here and suppose if I want to put header and footer only on the second and fourth page then let us see how to do it. So for this one what Im going to do is Im going to divide these pages into different sections. So I will click on the first page here. Layout. Breaks and under the section breaks select continue. If you want to see whether the section break is applied or not you can go to Home. Click on this button show/hide button. So there is a section break here. So I will go to second page here. Layout. Break. Under section break. Continue. Similarly here breaks on the section break continues. So these four pages are now divided into separate sections. After that what Im going to do is Im going to put header and footer so i will go to insert. Header and let me select this one and suppose Ill put a header here and you can see at the mo

Go to Insert Header or Footer, and then select Remove Header or Remove Footer.
If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, clear Show number on first page. To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format.
At the top of the page, before the first line/word, click on the document to place your curser. Then choose Page Layout from the top menu. Next select Breaks - Next Page. Now choose Insert from the top menu and then select Page Numbers and then choose how you want them to appear in the document.
Click or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Select Layout Breaks Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section.
Remove the page number from the first page Go to Insert Header Footer. SelectOptions on the right side, and then select Different First Page. Select Options again, and then select Remove Page Numbers.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
To ensure your pages begin with 1, go to the Insert tab Page Number. Select Format Page Numbers Page numbering Start at and add 1.
How to remove page numbers in Word manually Open the header or footer. Double-click inside the area of the header or footer where the page number is located. Select the page number and press Delete Using your cursor, click and drag to highlight the page number. Close the header or footer.
