hey everyone in this video weamp;#39;re gonna be talking about flags and a flag is typically a boolean or an integer to indicate whether or not something happened or some condition was met with in an algorithm and then later you can check the value of that variable to act upon it so in this situation with this algorithm we have here we are taking a list of numbers and we are squaring them and seeing if any of them are larger than this value 500 which is arbitrary you could change that or get it from user and put whatever you needed to do and right now weamp;#39;re using this else Clause attached to the wael which we talked about in the previous video this will execute if none of the numbers are found to be large enough and although this works you should know both strategies I would say that the else clause attached to the loop is fairly uncommon compared to fly variables especially for other languages which may not support else clauses with loops so hereamp;#39;s how youamp;#39;re

Declare a variable that will hold the bit flags. As needed, set particular bits (i.e., make the bits 1) using the | operator, clear particular bits (i.e., make the bits 0) using the operator, and/or toggle particular bits (i.e., switch the bits to their other value) using the ^ operator.
Perhaps you can use replace: Makefile: CFLAGS:= $(CFLAGS:-flag=) but be aware this is POSIX make syntax and can collide with more complex make(1) variable modifiers.
Unsetting a Flag The way to do this is to first invert all the bits of the flag we want to unset, and then do an and operation with that result, so `value = ~input`.
Bit flags are one or more (up to 32) Boolean values stored in a single number variable. Each bit flag typically has a corresponding predefined constant associated with it; this constant has the bit for this flag set to 1 and all other bits set to 0.
Clearing a bit Use the bitwise AND operator () to clear a bit. number = ~(1
You want to do an Bitwise AND operation on the current value with a Bitwise NOT operation of the flag you want to unset. A Bitwise NOT inverts every bit (i.e. 0 = 1, 1 = 0). flags = flags ~MASK; or flags = ~MASK; . When you perform a Bitwise AND with Bitwise NOT of the value you want unset.
