One is NEGATE, which inverts a number or logical value. For example, =NEGATE(5) would return -5. Another is IF, which allows you to test a condition and return one value if the condition is met and another if its not.
Change the way negative numbers are displayed Select the cell or range of cells that you want to format with a negative number style. If youre using Windows, press Ctrl+1. If youre using a Mac, press. +1. In the Category box, click either Number or Currency. Under Negative numbers, select an option for negative numbers.
Use the minus (-) or not equal to () operators to exclude a single cell from the range and the FILTER function to exclude multiple cells.
The closest function will be COUNTA(). It counts the number of cells that are not blank within the range.
There are a few similar formulae to NOT in Excel. One is NEGATE, which inverts a number or logical value. For example, =NEGATE(5) would return -5. Another is IF, which allows you to test a condition and return one value if the condition is met and another if its not.
To do that: Click a cell in the array formula. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Find Select, and then click Go To. Click Special. Click Current array. Press DELETE.
The closest function will be COUNTA(). It counts the number of cells that are not blank within the range.
NOT can be used in Google Sheets to exclude values from a range or to filter data. For example, if you want to exclude the value Apple from a range of cells, you can use the formula =NOT(A1:A5) to return the values in the range A1:A5 except for Apple.
