so we now have vector subtraction so when we subtract this location from this location itamp;#39;ll give us this vector we have perp counterclockwise so i can take this thing and rotate it 90 degrees that direction and then again we have vector subtraction so i can subtract the shipamp;#39;s position from the same origin vector as we did with this one where we subtracted this vector from that to get that vector and then weamp;#39;re going to subtract this point or vector from the ship position to get that vector and then we can say hey whatamp;#39;s whatamp;#39;s the dot product between the two thatamp;#39;ll tell me the magnitude of each of them times the cosine of the angle but i donamp;#39;t care about any of that all i care about is the sine of the cosine of the angle and if the sine is positive i know that we are in this range which is fine zero up to 90 degrees weamp;#39;re fine in that case but once we go negative we know that the cosine of the angle is negative and wea

To use the negation operator, you place the ^ metacharacter immediately after the opening square bracket. For example, [^abc] matches any character that is not a, b, or c.
One way to perform a not match operation with regex is by using the caret (^) symbol. In regex, the caret symbol has a special meaning when used at the beginning of a character class. It negates the character class, effectively excluding any characters that match the pattern within the character class.
If you want to match a literal period (.), or other special character in your regular expression, escape it with a backslash (\) character.
A negated character class matches characters that are NOT in the class. We have the open square bracket, then we have a caret which means negate. So this character class will become a negated character class. And we have the set of characters we do not want which are b, g, l, n and t.
To ignore insertions and deletions of lines that match a regular expression, use the -I regexp or --ignore-matching-lines= regexp option. You should escape regular expressions that contain shell meta-characters to prevent the shell from expanding them.
Most programming languages assign multiple meanings to the . character, depending on the context. In C, for example, it can be a decimal point (or hexadecimal point) in a floating-point constant, or it can be used before a struct or union member name, or as part of the syntax of a compound literal.
By default, regexpi performs case-insensitive matching. Use the regexp function with the same syntax as regexpi to perform case-sensitive matching. To disable case-sensitive matching for regexp , use the ignorecase option.
