The negative version of a positive number is referred to as its negation. For example, 3 is the negation of the positive number 3. The sum of a number and its negation is equal to zero: 3 + (3) = 0.
Negate refers to the logical operation of reversing the truth value of a statement. In computing and programming, its commonly used to flip the value of a Boolean expression. If a condition is true, negating it makes it false, and vice versa.
In JavaScript, you can use the ! (logical NOT) operator to negate a boolean value. The ! operator flips the truthiness of a value.
!== means not equal value or not equal type. It is a comparison operator in JavaScript that checks if the two values being compared are not equal in either value or data type. For example, 5 !== 5 would return true because although the values are the same, the data types are not.
The logical NOT ( ! ) (logical complement, negation) operator takes truth to falsity and vice versa. It is typically used with boolean (logical) values. When used with non-Boolean values, it returns false if its single operand can be converted to true ; otherwise, returns true .
It changes the logical value to the opposite one. It is denoted by the unary operator ! in programming. If there is a function that checks for even numbers, then negation will allow you to check for odd numbers: const isEven = (number) = number % 2 === 0; isEven(10); // true ! isEven(10); // false.

Negating an integer involves changing its sign from positive to negative or vice versa. For example, given an int 42, after negating it, we expect to get -42 as the result. We shouldnt forget the number 0 is neither positive nor negative. Therefore, the result of negating 0 should be 0, too.
