Drug Testing and Analysis (DTA) is devoted to the publication of papers dealing with the development and application of techniques for the determination of controlled or controversial substances.
Notice: Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF) | US Department of Transportation.
If your company uses drug testing to make hiring and firing decisions, heres what you need to know about chain of custody and control forms (CCF) and why theyre important in the drug testing process: A chain of custody and control form tracks a specimen from the time its collected to the time its analyzed.
The term, Congestive Cardiac Failure (CCF), is medical jargon, used to describe a group of symptoms and problems caused by a weakened heart muscle.
A chain of custody form is an official document that creates a paper trail of everyone whos handled a particular specimen. Within transportation, youll encounter chain of custody drug testing forms whenever you request that an applicant for an open position get a screening.
49 CFR Part 40, or Part 40 as we call it, is a DOT-wide regulation that states how to conduct testing and how to return employees to safety-sensitive duties after they violate a DOT drug and alcohol regulation. Part 40 applies to all DOT-required testing, regardless of mode of transportation.
(2) You are required to personally review at least 5 percent of all CCFs reviewed by your staff on a quarterly basis, including all results that required a corrective action. However, you need not review more than 500 negative results of all specimen types combined in any quarter.
A negative dilute specimen, by definition, is a urine specimen that tests negative and has a creatinine of greater than 5 mg/dl or less than 20 g/dl and a specific gravity is less than 1.0010 (or greater than 1.0200). Creatinine is a waste product that is consistent in normal human urine.
