Heres a problem a lot of people run into. You may have noticed in each tutorials Ive done in the last few months that when I look at my Dock I have a one under Reminders telling me that theres one item I should pay attention to. Theres a notification. However when I go to Reminders theres no such notification. Theres nothing in this list. Nothing in this list. Nothing in Scheduled. Theres simply no reason for that one to be there. Its stuck there. It doesnt matter if you logout of iCloud. Log back in. Turn off Reminders. Turn it back on. That one doesnt go away. This is a common problem and Ive been meaning to fix it and do it as a tutorial in case you have the same problem. So the way to fix this is, unfortunately, to do the extreme measure of restoring your Reminders from a backup. Now its not that hard to do. Its extreme because it resets a couple of things. But it is the resetting that actually gets rid of that one. Now it doesnt matter if youve had that notification

You can easily clear notification badges on app icons at the same time by dismissing the corresponding notifications. So if you swipe notifications on notification panel, or tap CLEAR.
If your Samsung Galaxy smartphone runs Android 11 or 12, open the Settings app and head into the Notifications menu. Then, tap Advanced settings and toggle off the App icon badges switch.
In Outlook preferences, select Notifications and Sounds. Under Badge count, select either option (the effect is the same regarding the bug). All other settings can be set to preference as they have no impact.
In System Preferences, select Notifications. This has a bell icon with a red dot in the top-right corner. Under Notifications, youll see a bunch of installed apps in the left pane. Select any app thats been showing you notification badges and in the right pane, uncheck Badge App Icon.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Notifications in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click an app or website on the right, then turn off Allow notifications. You wont receive notifications for it until you turn on Allow notifications again.
Remove an item from the Dock: Drag the item out of the Dock until Remove is shown. Only the alias is removed; the actual item remains on your Mac. If you accidentally remove an app icon from the Dock, its easy to put it back (the app is still on your Mac). Open the app to make its icon appear again in the Dock.
