Suppress the Output of the unzip Command By default, unzip prints the names of all the files its extracting and a summary when the extraction is completed. Use the -q switch to suppress the printing of these messages.
You can (as suggested in the manpage) put your list into a file, rather than using positional parameters for the list: -x files --exclude files Explicitly exclude the specified files, as in: zip -r foo foo -x \*.o which will include the contents of foo in foo. zip while exclud‐ ing all the files that end in .o.
(Exclude files from the zip): Using the -x option, you can exclude specific files from being included in the zip archive. This is useful when you want to zip all files in a directory but want to exclude certain unwanted files. (Verbose mode):
Click the Attachment options button. In the top of Attachment Options click in the check box next to Enable attachment zipping in order to uncheck the box.
Right-click on the file or folder. To place multiple files into a zip folder, select all of the files while hitting the Ctrl button. Then, right-click on one of the files, move your cursor over the Send to option and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
How to Extract Files from a Zipped (Compressed) Folder Right-click the zipped folder saved to your computer. Choose Extract All (an extraction wizard will begin). Click [Next ]. Click [Browse] and navigate to where you would like to save the files. Click [Next ]. Click [Finish].
To unzip a single file or folder, open the zipped folder, then drag the file or folder from the zipped folder to a new location. To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
