okay so i wanted to try to help out with arrow notation um what its saying is as x gets closer and closer to some number and on your participation activity they leave that number blank because they want you to you know pick a number thats interesting for x like right now if we were to say as x gets closer and closer to negative two that doesnt really tell us much right its some sort of y value nothing nothing particularly interesting is happening the graph is just going along at its normal pace okay something interesting though is that x equals positive two as x approaches positive two then the graph starts getting really really low it goes off towards negative infinity right the numbers get more and more and more negative we never actually docHub 2 for this graph at x equals 2. theres never like oops how do i undo that no there we go theres never actually a y value that we docHub because the thing just keeps going down and down and never actually crosses this x equals two line her
