Here is a list of things to remember when creating a student progress report: Be clear and concise. Use language that the student or their parents wont misunderstand. Avoid educator jargon. Point out trends that may lead to future results, good or bad. Use specific examples to support your comments.
4 = Excelling above the standard (equivalent to 90% or above) 3 = Achieving the targeted standard (equivalent to 80-89%) 2 = Making Progress toward the standard (equivalent to 70-79%) 1 = Improvement Needed to be on grade level (equivalent to less than 70%)
Teacher commentary on your childs progress report can provide a deeper understanding of your childs social and emotional learning. Commentary on behavioral patterns include feedback on self awareness, self management, mindset, and relationship skills.
While the academic progress report is not a final grade and will not affect your grade point average, it is a valuable indicator of your performance in the course to date.
