A Deposit Account Instructions and Service Agreement (DAISA) refers to the instructions provided to the bank by the account holder that details how the bank is to dispose of governmental healthcare funds in the deposit account.
Deposit Account Control Agreement (DACA) A tri-party agreement among a customer (debtor), a secured party (lender) and a bank that allows the lender to perfect a security interest in the customers funds by taking control of the deposit account (UCC 9-104).
Deposit Account Controls A blocked account can sometimes refer to a Deposit Account Control Agreement (DACA), which is an agreement between a borrower (or debtor), the secured lender, and a bank maintaining a deposit account.
There are two principal forms of DACAs, either of which is sufficient for purposes of control and perfection under the UCC. A blocked control agreement provides that the borrower will have no access to the funds in the deposit account(s) and that the lender will have complete control over the funds.
DACA account requirements In order to protect a creditors security interest in a deposit account, the creditor must establish control (a UCC term) of that account, meaning the bank will comply with the lenders instructions without the borrowers consent, without additional restrictions from third parties.
A control agreement is a type of collateral agreement that is entered by a debtor to secure obligations under a loan agreement. In a control agreement, the debtor, secured party, and the account maintainer (usually a bank) agree to allow the secured party to have security interest in the debtors account.
What Does DDA Mean on a Bank Statement? The acronym DDA stands for demand deposit account, indicating that funds in the account (usually a checking or regular savings account) are available for immediate useon-demand, so to speak.
