To move an asset, users need to select the action "Move" under "Modify Asset." Only the selected asset's information will be shown. For moving multiple assets simultaneously, users can filter to select additional assets. This process facilitates the management of numerous assets efficiently in Maximo.

Open the Asset List window for an activity. Select the asset you want to copy. Tips. Choose Edit Copy Asset. In the folders block, click the activity folder to which you want to copy the assets. Choose Edit Paste Asset.
To view asset files in Files home, select Libraries and then select Asset Library . To view and edit asset files in Setup, enter Asset Files in the Quick Find box, then select Asset Files.

In the right pane of the Asset Browser, right-click the asset you want to duplicate and choose Duplicate. The Duplicate Asset dialog box opens. Type a name of the duplicate asset and optionally change the project where the asset will reside and type a description for the new asset. Click OK.
In the Move/Modify Assets window, click the Assets tab. Type a value in the To Parent field. Click Apply. Perform one of the following actions: To perform the move immediately, click Execute Now. To perform the move when the work orders status is COMP (Complete), click Save as Plan.
How to Rename Existing Assets Navigate to the details page of the asset you want to rename. Click on the name of the asset. Enter a new name. Click the enter button on your keyboard to save.
Select the assets you want to copy and paste. Press Control D (for duplicate), or whatever the Mac equivalent is. Then drag these to your new folder (optional), and rename them as needed (also optional).
