Hey, and Welcome To Smart Office. Weekly Tips and Tricks To Work around Microsoft Office Applications. Today, I will show something that has to do with Microsoft Excel. How To Move A Chart in Microsoft Excel? As described in another video of mine, a Chart is a great way to visually display data in a Microsoft Excel Worksheet. It visually represents Data from a Worksheet, which helps us understand the Data much easier rather than just looking at the numbers. What happens though, once we have created the Chart, and we want to Move it in a New Worksheet or Move it as an Object in an Existing Worksheet? Just watch the video to find out how. I have already created a Chart as shown, the Chart has been inserted in the Spreadsheet as an Object. For us to Move the Chart into another Sheet as an Object or in a brand new Sheet, we can do it by using two different techniques. The first way, first of all we must select the Chart whatever way we use. I just click on the Chart, and we can notice tha

Move Chart by Copy Pasting Create a new sheet where you want to move the chart (if you dont have that already) Activate the sheet where you have the chart that you want to move. Right-click on the chart and select Copy (or select the chart and use Control + C)
Click the chart, and then drag the sizing handles to the size that you want. Click the chart, and then on the Format tab, in the Size group, enter the size in the Shape Height and Shape Width boxes.
At first, create a new worksheet where you want to move all charts. Then, open a worksheet and pitch on a chart in it. Next, right click on the chart and select Move Chart from the context menu. In the popup Move Chart dialog box, select the new sheet in Object in list and click OK.
Move a chart to another worksheet Click anywhere in the chart. Under Chart Tools, on the Design tab, in the Location group, click Move Chart. Do one of the following: To move the chart to a new worksheet, click New sheet, and then in the New sheet box, type a name for the worksheet.
To move a chart in Excel within a worksheet, click and drag inside the Chart Area of the chart. The mouse pointer appears as a four-pointed arrow while you click and drag to move the chart. When the chart is in the desired location, release the mouse button to drop the chart into its new worksheet location.
Click anywhere in the chart. Under Chart Tools, on the Design tab, in the Location group, click Move Chart.
On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Chart. In the Insert Chart dialog box, click the arrows to scroll through the chart types. Select the type of chart that you want and then click OK.
Chart Object vs Chart Sheet So when you move an existing excel chart into a new chart sheet, you would only have the chart in that sheet (and there wont be any cells or tables like a regular worksheet).
To move charts, you can select the underlying cells for the chart (for eg. if a chart is in range a1:f5, select all the cells in that range) and press CTRL+X and then move selection cursor to any other cell using arrow keys and paste - CTRL+V.
1. Hold the Ctrl key, and then left click on the chart by mouse, and four circles will appear on each corner of the chart as following screenshot shown: 2. And now, you can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the chart as you need.
