If you were to print a copy of your document, and ask a friend to proofread it, theyd probably mark the errors in red pen, and write any suggestions they had in the margins. Wouldnt it be easier if you could do that electronically? In Word, you canusing two features called Track Changes and Comments. Im going to turn on track changes right now so I can show you what I mean. To do this, go to the Review tab then click the Track Changes command. Now any changes I make to the document will appear as markup, which is Words answer to the traditional red pen. For example, when I delete text, it doesnt go away it just gets crossed out. When I add more text, it gets underlined. This lets the owner of the document see what changes Ive made before making them part of the final draft. You can also add comments in the margins by selecting the text you want to comment on then clicking the New Comment command. On the Review tab, select Track Changes. Select Accept or Reject. As you accept or reject changes, Word will move to the next change. Tip: To move through changes in the document without accepting or rejecting them, select Next or Previous.
Based on the user experience, it is recommended to have a maximum number of 10 editors that can work on a specific document concurrently.
You can check a Google Docs History and restore previous versions in the document itself. To view version history, click File then Version History. Click See version history. To restore a previous version, select a version and click Restore this version.
Up to 100: You can let up to 100 people with view, edit, or comment permissions work on a Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides file at the same time.
Launch the Google Docs app and open the document in question. Next to the Help tab and as a Version history entry, youll see the date of the last edit and who made the edit.

Select the file you want to share. Click Share or Share . Under General access click the Down arrow . Choose Anyone with the link. To decide what role people will have, select Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Click Copy link. Click Done. Paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
Select Edit Document Edit in Browser. If anyone else is working on the document, youll see their presence and the changes theyre making. We call this coauthoring, or real-time collaboration. From here, if youd rather work in your Word app, switch from Editing to Open in Desktop App, near the top of the window.
