The latest ZIP format specification supports Unicode file names. Names must be encoded in UTF-8, and the 11th bit in the general purpose flags field (2 bytes at offset 6) must be set. So if you upgrade your tools to versions supporting the newer ZIP format, things should work automatically.
Zip specification states to use zip standard charset if utf8 flag is not set. In your case, if you are sure your zip files use utf8 encoding, you can force zip4j to use utf8 with ZipFile. setCharset(StandardCharsets. UTF8) .
Saving an ASCII File With the one-line as the active window, click File Export Export Database. In File name, type a file name. In the Save as type box, ensure SCADA data files (*. csv) is selected. Click Save.
Right-click on the file or folder. Select Compressed (zipped) folder. To place multiple files into a zip folder, select all of the files while hitting the Ctrl button. Then, right-click on one of the files, move your cursor over the Send to option and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
The MIME type application/zip is used to denote the presence of ZIP format files.
ZIP uses a default codepage of IBM437. There is the possibility to use UTF-8, but not all zip tools and libraries support that. Some zip tools will do arbitrary code pages, even though the zip spec allows only IBM437 or UTF-8. I think WinRar is one such tool.
zip writes UTF-8 by default and uses the language encoding flag. It is possible to specify a different encoding when reading/writing ZIPs via new constructors.
