To edit text in a PSD file, simply double-click on the text layer and then make your changes. You can also use the Text tool to add new text or make changes to existing text. Once you are done making your changes, click on the File menu and then select Save.
Select the Type tool in the toolbar. Select the text you want to edit. The options bar in the top has options to edit your font type, font size, font color, text alignment, and text style.
If you want to edit an existing piece of text, simply click on the text with the Type tool and start typing. The changes you make will be applied to the selected text layer.
To apply transformations, make sure the Text layer is selected in the layers palette and then choose Edit Transform. From there you can choose from all of the transformations listed above. After youve made the transformation, you can edit the text again if necessary.
If you cant edit text in Photoshop, thats most likely because your layer is locked. To unlock the layer, select it in the Layers panel and click the lock icon. You can then edit the text within that layer.
The simple answer is that by default, Photoshop locks text layers to prevent accidental changes. However, you can unlock a text layer by clicking on the Lock icon in the Layers panel. Once unlocked, you can then edit the text just like any other layer.
