hey whatamp;#39;s up jiger here have you downloaded a document and tried to modify it but the file isnamp;#39;t editable then the document is most likely protected by words editing restrictions which limits changes to specific sections of the file in this video I will show you three different ways to remove editing restrictions in word all of which apply to both Doc and docx file formats letamp;#39;s go a single docu is a collection of XML files that contain various components such as text formatting metadata and most importantly the settings that contain any restrictions placed on the file note that this method is only applicable to the doc x file type which is the default file format since msword 2007 therefore if your file is in DOC format either convert it to Doc X first or skip to the next timestamps to try other methods follow the next steps to convert your file from Doc to Doc X open your file in word click the file menu and select save as before saving be sure to select Word
