In the context of print publication, copy editing is done before typesetting and again before proofreading. Outside traditional book and journal publishing, the term copy editing is used more broadly, and is sometimes referred to as proofreading; the term sometimes encompasses additional tasks.
Typesetting is the way that text is composed using individual types the symbols, letters, and glyphs in digital systems. Its a crucial part of the world of design that requires an understanding of fonts, corresponding font sizes, and line spacing.
Formatting is simpler and involves basic styling to give the document a clean look. It is more accessible and can be done by anyone using a word processor. Typesetting is more complex and technical, involves fine-tuning text to enhance readability.
Typesetting is generally more associated with the formal process of standardizing text so that it is readable and legible. For example, a book publisher would use typesetting to make sure that the text on each page conforms to standards regarding spacing, font size, and type of font so that the text is easy to read.
What is the difference? To answer this in simple terms:Editing focuses on the meaning of your content, while copyediting focuses on its technical quality. What does an editing service include? An English editor will read your draft and make changes to improve the structure, flow, and logic.
