Hi, this is Gary with MacMost.com. On todayamp;#39;s episode letamp;#39;s look at a new feature in Pages that allows you to rearrange things in your document using Sections. So Apple recently released new versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. There are a lot of small new features in these. Iamp;#39;m going to look at one today. Iamp;#39;m using Pages version 5.6 and Iamp;#39;m just going to create a new blank document. In the past I could certainly look at the page thumbnails here on the left and see what pages Iamp;#39;ve done but I couldnamp;#39;t really rearrange them. They are basically a way for me to jump from page to page. Now, with Pages 5.6, I can actually rearrange them in a way that you might do say if you were writing a story and you want to have sections that you rearrange or perhaps a script or perhaps notes for class. Things like that and you kind of want to rearrange sheets of paper. You can do that using Sections. So letamp;#39;s start off by just creating a

For body text in a blank template: Just start typing. For body text in a template with placeholder text: Click the placeholder text to select it, then start typing. To remove placeholder text completely, click it, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
Choose Pages Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen). Click Auto-Correction at the top of the settings window. In the Replacement section, select the checkbox next to Symbol and text substitution. , then type the text you want to replace (such as teh) in the Replace column.
To change all of the text in a text box or table cell, select the text box or table cell. In the Format sidebar, click the Style button near the top. If the text is in a text box, table, or shape, first click the Text tab at the top of the sidebar, then click the Style button.
Edit content: Double-click the cell to make the insertion point appear, then type. To move the insertion point, click where you want it, then type. Replace content: Click the cell, then start typing. The existing content is overwritten.
Change document types Tap in a corner of the document to avoid selecting any text or objects. On iPhone, tap the More button. . Tap Document Options, tap Document Setup, then tap Document: To switch to a different document type: If you need to return to the original document, tap the Undo button.
Update a paragraph style In the Format sidebar, do one of the following: If theres an Update button: Click Update. If theres only an asterisk: Click the style name, then move the pointer over the style name in the Paragraph Styles pop-up menu. Click the arrow that appears, then choose Redefine from Selection.
To select text, do any of the following: Select one or more characters: Click in front of the first character and drag across the characters. Select a word: Double-click the word. Select a paragraph: Triple-click in the paragraph.
You can undo recent changes you make to a document, then redo them if you change your mind. Do any of the following: Undo the last action: Choose Edit Undo (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-Z on your keyboard. Redo the last action you undid: Choose Edit Redo, or press Command-Shift-Z.
