Convert CWK Format in Windows Open Microsoft Word. Click the File tab. Check Confirm File Format Conversion on Open and then click OK. Press Ctrl-O and select the CWK file. Choose Recover Text From Any File (.) from the Files of Type drop-down menu and then click Open.
Converting Microsoft Works files to Word format Launch Word: Double-click the icon or search in the Start menu. Import Works file: Go to File tab, select Open. Save as Word doc: Click File tab, choose Save As. Edit document: Now you can use all features and formatting options available in MS Word.
In most cases, . CWK files may be opened with the iWorks counterpart. For example, a ClarisWorks spreadsheet can be opened by the iWorks Numbers application and a ClarisWorks word processing document can be opened with Pages.
