How do I update my trademark information?

If your trademark has not published in the Trademark Official Gazette, use the TEAS Voluntary Amendment form. If your trademark has published but hasnt registered, use the TEAS Post-Publication Amendment form. If your trademark has registered, use the TEAS Section 7 Request form.

How do you correct an error in a trademark application?

Can I alter a trademarked logo and use it?

A registered trademark is granted based on the examination of the exact version of the logo you once submitted, and a change does not automatically mean you have the right to the same level of legal protection; therefore, your updated version would have to be assessed again.

Can you modify an existing trademark?

Under federal law, you can file a trademark amendment application if your requested change does not materially alter the character of the mark. How do you amend a trademark classification?

Unfortunately, people cannot directly amend trademark applications to add additional classes, but they may be able to establish new filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Therefore, adding new classes to a trademark is made possible by creating new applications.

Can you change your trademark class?

No, you cant modify classes after filing your trademark application with the respective IP office. You can submit a new application, but youd have to pay twice.
