Unable to edit a locked Word document Click the Review tab and the Restrict Editing button. In the pop-up Restrict Editing interface, click the Stop Protection button. Then, the Unprotect Document dialog will pop up. We enter the password and click the OK button. Now, we can edit the document.
You can adjust the table at Tools or edit the table directly on the edit page. Drag the gray circle icon to zoom in and out of the table. How to update only the page number in a table of contents Open the document we want to edit in WPS Writer. Click on the table of contents. Click References tab and then click the Update TOC button. Now a Update Table of Contents small dialog box will pop up. Check Update page numbers only.
Create customized ribbons and groups Click Menu, and then click Option to select Customize Ribbon. In this dialog box, you may see the commands accessible to be added on the left and the commands that have already been added on the right.
Go to References Table of Contents. and choose an automatic style. If you make changes to your document that affect the table of contents, update the table of contents by right-clicking the table of contents and choosing Update Field.
