Its in the Applications folder. You can use the finder to locate it there, or you can use Spotlight search and type in te to find it and launch it. Open your Application folder and type the letter T. That will get you near TextEdit in the list.

Head to the File menu, then click File info. And you can also press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + I on Windows and Command + Option + Shift + I on Mac. From here, you can copy or edit the metadata. Click OK to save your changes.
