Clipping a polygon feature Click the Edit tool. on the Editor toolbar. Select the feature you want to use to clip. Click the Editor menu and click Clip. Type a buffer value. Click the type of clip operation: whether to discard or maintain the area that intersections. Click OK to clip the feature.
There are two ways to edit a TIN in ArcGIS: using the TIN Editing toolbar in ArcMap and using the Edit TIN geoprocessing tool in the TIN Management toolset from the 3D Analyst toolbox. The interactive TIN Editing tools allow you to interactively edit individual features that contribute to the TIN surface.
You can add a clip, erase, or replace polygon. Clip polygons define a boundary for the TIN surface. Input data that falls outside the clip polygon is excluded from the interpolation and analysis operations. Erase polygons are also used to define a boundary for interpolation.
On the Surface Style window, go to the Display tab and make visible the Triangles component. Now, select the surface in your workspace, so the TIN Surface Civil 3D tab appears on your ribbon. Then, go to Modify -- Edit Surface -- Delete Line. Then we select all the lines needed to remove the unwanted triangles.
The file format is meant for storing triangulated terrain models. The file format can store both xyz points and triangles which connect the points. The triangle records are optional in the file. They may be left out of the file to save disc space if no manual editing of the surface has been done.
An existing raster or vector layer can be used as the clip extent. If you are using a feature class as the output extent, you can clip the raster by the minimum bounding rectangle of the feature class or by the polygon geometry of the features.
TINs are a digital means to represent surface morphology. TINs are a form of vector-based digital geographic data constructed by triangulating a set of vertices (points).
Select the features that define the clip area and specify a buffer distance. In the Contents pane, confirm that the layers can be edited and are visible. On the ribbon, click the Edit tab. In the Modify Features pane, click Clip . In the tool pane, check the Clip all editable features check box.
