What is the difference between suggesting and editing?

Editing mode: Lets you edit the document directly. This is the mode youre in by default. Suggesting mode: Lets you suggest edits to a document that other people can review. Suggestions that are accepted will be added to the document, while ones that are rejected are deleted.

How do I turn on suggestions in Google Docs?

Open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap More . Turn on Suggest changes.

How do I turn on editor suggestions in Word?

Editor text predictions in Word On the status bar, choose Text Predictions: On. Switch off Show text predictions while typing.
