You can open a WPD document simply by double-clicking on the file if Corel WordPerfect is installed on your computer. However, if you do not have a copy of Corel WordPerfect installed, you can open this type of file with other word processing applications, such as Microsoft Word and Apache OpenOffice.
Converting Microsoft Works files to Word format Launch Word: Double-click the icon or search in the Start menu. Import Works file: Go to File tab, select Open. Save as Word doc: Click File tab, choose Save As. Edit document: Now you can use all features and formatting options available in MS Word.
How to Open a WPD File. WordPerfect is the primary program associated with WordPerfect document files, so you can use that application to open it. You can also open that kind of WPD file with LibreOffice Writer, FreeOffice TextMaker, Microsoft Word, and Canvas. If youre on a Mac, try NeoOffice.
The WordPerfect Document format (WPD) is the native file format for WordPerfect files. CorelDRAW supports WPD files from versions 4.2 to 14. WordPerfect files for versions 4 and 5 have the file extensions .
To save a WordPerfect document as a Microsoft Word document Click File Save as. Choose the drive and folder where you want to save the file. Type the filename in the File name box. Choose an MS Word format from the File type list box.
docHub can only open Word documents for conversion within the docHub program. In the docHub Standard Application click on the Create PDF and then the File tab. Choose the desired document to be converted. Next click the Open button and docHub will begin the conversion.
1) Open Microsoft Word. 2) From the FILE menu, choose Open. 3) In the new window which appears, click on the drop-down menu which reads All Word Documents 4) From the drop-down menu, choose WORDPERECT 6.
Be sure to save the document under a different name with the . doc filename suffix. Copy-and-paste. This is my preferred method highlighting the text in WordPerfect, using CNTRL-C (or Edit, Copy) to copy the text, switching over to Word, then using CNTRL-V (or Edit, Paste) to paste the text into a blank document.
