about a week ago I released a video showing you guys how to use wine as a wood stain and in the comments of that video I got a bunch of new ideas for different things people want to see used as a wood stain and so I assembled my favorite five ideas right here in front of me and Iamp;#39;m gonna test each one on a piece of Oak from the same board to see if any of them make an interesting wood stain first one weamp;#39;re gonna try is grape juice and then the Apple cherry juice and then grape Kool-Aid and Cherry Kool-Aid and the last one weamp;#39;re going to try is the Tang just like before Iamp;#39;m going to continuously flip each one for about 15 minutes so this is what the grape ended up looking like this is the cherry and apple juice this is the grape Kool-Aid this one is the Cherry Kool-Aid and hereamp;#39;s how the Tang turned out itamp;#39;s hard to tell but this actually turned out more golden itamp;#39;s like a golden oat kind of stain which one is your favorite

Gel Stain for Laminate floors Diy stain laminate floors yes laminate, I bought gel stain from home depot for $15-20. No prep at all, I did a double coat of the stain. No sanding required, just a good sweep with the swifter.
Customers have reported the successful use of Gel products over laminate surfaces. Here are two techniques: Using Dark Chocolate Milk Paint as a Base under Gel Stain (Dark Chocolate Milk Paint was formulated to mimic the color of Java Gel Stain) Several techniques using only Gel Stain/no paint or primer.
Leave the original stain in place if you want to stain the piece a darker color. If youre going from a light stain to a dark stain, theres no need to strip away the existing stain first. However, keep in mind that the existing stain may alter the color of the finished product.
The truth is that black stains do exist. While you may not choose a black stain for an expensive, luxurious slab of special wood species, there are a variety of refinishing projects or exotic exterior designs that can benefit greatly from a beautiful black stain.
Add a Coat of Paint Always clean the surface with a floor cleaner designed specifically for laminate floors. Sand away the gloss layer of your boards with care. Repair any cracks or holes. Use a trustworthy primer to help the paint adhere to the laminate surface. Paint and re-seal the floor to prevent water damage.
Laminate is not absorbent as wood, so using a normal wood stain will not work. Using a finish to stain laminate flooring is less drastic than painting it, but the finish will need to be reapplied once the colour dulls. You also wont get the look of scratched paint.
Although traditional wood stains dont work on laminate, laminate floor finishes can provide a similar color. Buy a laminate floor finish online with a tint resembling wood stain for a lasting color. If you want to give your floors a reddish tint, for example, choose a mahogany-colored laminate floor finish.
