Hello everyone. Today AskF5 shows you how to renew a device Secure Sockets Layer certificate or SSL certificate for the BIG-IP system. The BIG-IP system device certificate is an SSL certificate used to secure connections to the Configuration utility and to secure iQuery communication between BIG-IP DNS systems in a sync group. BIG-IP includes a default self-signed device certificate named server.crt, which you can replace with an SSL certificate signed by a third-party provider, such as VerdocHub. Open the Configuration utility and in the left navigation, click System, point to Certificate Management, Device Certificate Management, and then click Device Certificate. Click Renew. Since we are renewing a self-signed device certificate, select Self for Issuer. Fill in the rest of the settings and then click Finished. If this device is a member of a sync group, you will also need to export the renewed device certificate and import to the other members of the sync group. For more information
