Here are the different ways to remove unwanted spaces: Use the TRIM function. The TRIM function allows you to remove all spaces except for single spaces between text in the document. Use the find and replace shortcut. A second option is to use the find and replace shortcut command. Use the substitution formula.
On the Formulas tab, click the Text dropdown menu in the Functions group and select TRIM. After the dialog box appears, click on the cell that contains the text you would like to remove spaces from to complete the function. Click OK.
Use the Trim formula to remove extra spaces Add the helper column to the end of your data. In the first cell of the helper column (C2), enter the formula to trim excess spaces =TRIM(A2) Copy the formula across the other cells in the column. Replace the original column with the one that has the cleaned data.
Set a row to a specific height Select the row or rows that you want to change. Go to Home Cells Format. Under Cell Size, select Row Height. In the Row height box, type the value that you want, and then select OK.
Trim Spaces for Excel - remove extra spaces in a click Select the cell(s) where you want to delete spaces. Click the Trim Spaces button on the ribbon. Choose one or all of the following options: Trim leading and trailing spaces. Trim extra spaces between words, except for a single space. Click Trim.
Edit the cell, select the space, press CTRL+C, press ESC to exit the edit mode, press CTRL+H to open find replace, press CTRL+V to paste the space into the find text field, click Replace All.
Select all of the text in the text box, right-click it, and click Paragraph. Select the line spacing you want. Tip: You can also tighten the text by reducing the font size. Select the text, then right-click on it, click Font, and select the font size you want.
