Customize your Mac with System Settings Click the System Settings icon in the Dock or choose Apple menu System Settings. Open System Settings for me. Click a setting. Settings are listed in the sidebar and may vary depending on your Mac and the apps youve installed. Change an option.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Sound in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click Output on the right, then select the device you want to use in the list of sound output devices.
You can change your primary monitor settings by opening System Preferences Displays Arrangement. Then click and drag the small white menu bar to your preferred display.
Whether you are using a MacBook Air/Pro with a built-in keyboard or an iMac with Apple Magic Keyboard, you can find these modifier keys on the keyboard, mainly located at the bottom-left corner and bottom row.
To open these settings, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Arrange the position of the displays, mirror their content, or relocate the position of the menu bar. This option only appears when you have an external display connected to your Mac.
To arrange your displays: Choose Apple menu  System Preferences, then click Displays. Click the Arrangement tab. To change the position of a display, drag it to the desired position. To set a different display as the primary display, drag the menu bar to the other display.
How do I restore my Mac keyboard to default settings? To reset your Mac keyboard to its default settings, go to System Preferences Keyboard, and click on the Modifier Keys button. Then, click the Restore Defaults button.
Choose Apple menu System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Sound. In the Output pane, make sure that your HDMI device is selected. If youre connecting from a Mac mini, disconnect any audio device from your computers headphone jack.
