On the Review tab, click Protect Sheet or Protect Workbook. Click Unprotect Sheet or Protect Workbook and enter the password. Clicking Unprotect Sheet automatically removes the password from the sheet.

Note: Excel does not remove personal information from shared workbooks. On the Excel menu, click Preferences. Under Sharing and Privacy, click Security . If a Microsoft Excel worksheet or workbook is protected, and the option to restrict editing permissions to certain users is selected for a range of cells, you cant edit those cells in Excel for Mac.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
You can also press Ctrl+Shift+F or Ctrl+1. In the Format Cells dialog box, select the Protection tab and uncheck the Locked box and then select OK. This unlocks all the cells on the worksheet when you protect the worksheet.
Just do any of the following: Right-click the sheet tab, and select Unprotect Sheet from the context menu. On the Review tab, in the Changes group, click Unprotect Sheet.
