hello choo-choo welcome to another coding challenge video i am i want to let you know something before i get started thinking about changing the name of the coding challenges to me the idea of a challenge is something you have to beat or like defeat i want something more exploratory and collaborative and train themed like a maybe a journey but i donamp;#39;t know if that works if you got any ideas let me know in the comments weamp;#39;d love to hear what should these be called going forward but today boy do i have an exciting one for you it is one that i made during a live stream uh about a year ago translating an imageamp;#39;s pixels to ascii characters like youamp;#39;re seeing right here so i want to do this again i bear i have no memory of doing this a year ago so iamp;#39;m kind of starting fresh weamp;#39;ll see if the result i get is the same as what i have here and then hopefully you will make your own creative version of this and share it with me on the coding train web

Special Characters (3247 / 5864 / 9196 / 123126): Special characters include all printable characters that are neither letters nor numbers. These include punctuation or technical, mathematical characters.
To insert an ASCII character, press and hold down ALT while typing the character code. For example, to insert the degree () symbol, press and hold down ALT while typing 0176 on the numeric keypad.
You simply have to manipulate the ASCII value. For example, if you wish to convert it into an uppercase, you can subtract 32 from its ASCII value. Simultaneously, if you want to convert it into a lowercase character, you can add 32.
ASCII is a 7-bit character set containing 128 characters. It contains the numbers from 0-9, the upper and lower case English letters from A to Z, and some special characters.
In your document, position the insertion point where you want the special character to appear. Press and hold down the ALT key while you type the four number Unicode value for the character. Note that NUM LOCK must be on, and you have to use the number pad keys to type the Unicode character value.
On a standard 101 keyboard, special extended ASCII characters such as or can be typed by holding the ALT key and typing the corresponding 4 digit ASCII code. For example is typed by holding the ALT key and typing 0233 on the keypad.
