So letamp;#39;s say you want to add an image to your Pageamp;#39;s document. Here Iamp;#39;m just going to drag an image from my Finder. Stick it in my document and it inserts. I can resize it and I can add a border to it by going to Format, Style, and then I can choose a picture frame border, for instance, or a line border. Letamp;#39;s say I want to do something a little more special with it. I want it to actually fit a more unusual shape than a rectangle. You can do that but instead of starting with an image what you want to do is start with a shape. Iamp;#39;m going to click the Shape tool here. Letamp;#39;s select something that might be pretty useful. A rounded rectangle. So Iamp;#39;ve got this rounded rectangle here now and let me go and expand it a little bit. Say this is the size that I want the image to be. Now if I drag and drop the image into the rectangle it will place it in there and actually go straight to the Masking tool which allows me to resize the image and

Adjust exposure, saturation, and other image settings Click the image to select it. In the Format sidebar, click the Image tab. Use the controls to make adjustments: To see the image histogram and adjust more advanced features like contrast, highlights, shadows, sharpness, de-noise, temperature, and tint, click .
In the Format sidebar, do one of the following: If theres an Update button: Click Update. If theres only an asterisk: Click the style name, then move the pointer over the style name in the Paragraph Styles pop-up menu. Click the arrow that appears, then choose Redefine from Selection.

Adjust curves along the edge of a shape Click a shape to select it. Choose Format Shapes and Lines Make Editable (from the Format menu at the top of your screen). Double-click a white handle to change a line from curved to straight. Click outside the shape when youre done editing it.
Edit a custom template Open Pages, choose File New, then double-click the template you want to use as the basis for a new template. Custom templates appear in the My Templates category in the template chooser. Make your changes, choose File Save Template, then choose an option to save the document as a new template.
Create a custom template in Pages on Mac Choose File Save as Template (from the File menu at the top of your screen). Click an option: Add to Template Chooser: Type a name for the template, then press Return. Your template appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser.
Browse to the Custom Office Templates folder under My Documents. Choose your template, and select Open. Make the changes you want, then save and close the template.
Edit a page template in the toolbar, then choose Edit Page Templates. Select the page template you want to edit in the sidebar on the left.
