hi today im gonna introduce a very cool very useful tool sometimes when you have an excel you want to share with others but you dont want to let them know everything you just want them to show part of it so you can use a different password to control their access when you open the excel here you can take a look this password you can choose cancel then it will only show the first sheet but actually there are several other sheets here if we close it and reopen it we enter the password one two three here cool see we have so many sheets here and for the right now we can see yes i have some notes here you can take a look first when you when the sheet name is changed please copy as you fold to unfold and after also they have the different icons of the different meaning the first one can edit second one can only review it the third one you cannot see it see here for the first user one two three it can has access of this sheet this sheet this is the street sheet and the second user has no a

Method 2. Decrypt Protected Excel Without a Password by VBA Code Open a new Excel file, and press Alt + F11 to open the VBA window. Click on Insert, select Module. On the General window enter the VBA code. Click on Run button (or press F5 key) to run it.
Unfortunately, if this has happened to you, there is no simple and easy way to recover a lost password. Excel doesnt store the passwords you use to lock your spreadsheet nor can Microsoft can look them up for you. This is also true for the other software in the Office suite that lets you protect files.
Open the workbook that you want to protect. On the Review tab, under Protection, click Passwords. In the File Passwords dialog box, select the Read-only recommended check box, and click OK. Close the workbook.
This is how you can change an Excel file from Open as Read-only Recommended to an editable spreadsheet. Go to File Save a Copy and then Tools, to the left of the Save button. Select General Options from the drop-down list. Click on the Read-only recommended box to disable the setting.
Removing a password from a document is a simple process, but you have to know the original password. Open the document and enter its password. Go to File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. Clear the password in the Password box, and then click OK.
Click on File - Save As and in the dialogue box that shows up, select General Options from the Tools dropdown menu next to the Save button. Uncheck the Read-Only recommended box. Remove the password that you had set and click Save to apply the new changes.
Under Editing restrictions, select Allow only this type of editing in the document, and make sure the list says No changes (Read only). Select Yes, Start Enforcing Protection. In the box that opens, type a password youll be able to remember, and then type the password again to confirm it. The password is optional.
Require a password to modify a workbook Open the document that you want to help protect. On the Review tab, under Protection, click Passwords. In the Password to modify box, type a password, and then click OK. In the Confirm Password dialog box, type the password again, and then click OK. Click Save .
Change the password of a document Open the document and enter the original password. Click File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. In the Encrypt Document box, type a password, and then click OK. In the Confirm Password box, type the password again, and then click OK.
