hello type choice here in todayamp;#39;s video iamp;#39;ll be showing you how to change the page number start in indesign so without further ado letamp;#39;s get right into it as you can see i have created this indesign document with a lot of different pages in the pages panel if you cannot see this page panel you can find it in windows and choose pages you could also use the keyboard shortcut if 12. as you can see i have created a lot of different pages and letamp;#39;s say we want to change the page number start to a different number if you change these pages to facing pages just like in a book letamp;#39;s say we want to have the start of the page as the second page just like this and we want to remove this first page you would think that you could just select this and delete this but the thing that happens is that this page that was here before will move up just here and this will now be the first page and we donamp;#39;t want that we just want to change the page number start

Tip: If you want your second page to start at 1 rather than 2, go to Insert Page Number Format Page Numbers, and set Start at under Page Numbering to 0, rather than 1.
Open the Format Page Numbers window by going to the Header Footer Tools Design tab on the menu, and in the Header Footer section, select Page Number Format Page Numbers. Next to Number format, select the i, ii, iii, option for lower-case Roman numerals, then click OK.
