Set the default margin Click PAGE LAYOUT Margins. At the bottom, click Custom Margins. In the Page Setup box, enter new values for the margins. Click the Set As Default button.
Document Margins Click on the Page Layout tab. Click on Margins to see a drop-down menu. Make sure Normal is selected.
Margin is the space between our load and our limits. It is the amount allowed beyond that which is needed. It is something held in reserve for contingencies or unanticipated situations. Margin is the gap between rest and exhaustion, the space between breathing freely and suffocating. Margin is the opposite of overload.
Change the header and footer margin Click VIEW Ruler. Double-click the header or footer area. Press CTRL+A. On the ruler, drag the right indent marker.
Showing Margins in Word Click on the View tab. Then, check the box next to Ruler in the Show section. The gray sections on the ruler represent the margins of the page. You can also adjust the margins using the ruler.
Go to the Layout tab and click the Margins drop-down menu. Once the different preset margin formats are displayed, select one from the selection that suits your needs. If what you need is not in the options, select Custom Margins.
Change margins in your document to change the layout and make sure everything fits. Select Layout Margins. Select the margin measurements you want. Note: If your document contains multiple sections, the new margins apply only to the selected sections.
In Word, each page automatically has a one-inch margin. You can customize or choose predefined margin settings, set margins for facing pages, allow extra margin space to allow for document binding, and change how margins are measured. Select Layout Margins.
