The recommended way to configure policy on Windows is Group Policy Object (GPO), however on machines that are joined to an Active Directory domain, policy settings may also be stored in the registry under HKEYLOCALMACHINE or HKEYCURRENTUSER in the following paths: Google Chrome: Software\Policies\Google\Chrome\
Chrome Settings Click on the icon in the Chrome tool bar, and select Settings from the menu that pops up (see Figure 1). Scroll down the Settings page that then appears until you find the Show advanced settings link (see Figure 2). This will display more settings in the Settings page.
On a managed device, browse to chrome://policy. Click Reload policies. At the top right, in the Filter policies by name box, enter the policy youre searching for. Check the Show policies with no value set box.
Solution Go to the Admin console. From the left side menu, go to Devices Chrome Setting Users and browsers. To apply the change to all the users select the main organizational unit otherwise select a child OU. Look for the policies that must be modified. Save the changes.
About administrator roles and privileges Sign in to your Google Admin console. In the Admin console, go to Menu Account. Click the link of the role you want to change. Click Privileges. Under Admin Console Privileges, scroll to Services. Check the boxes to select each privilege you want users with this role to have.
Potentially harmful extensions: To improve your security, Safety Check can warn you of extensions that might pose security risks. On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More. Settings. On the left, select Privacy and security. Under Safety Check, select Go to Safety Check. If Chrome finds any issues:
Turn on Chrome browser management (user policies only) Sign in to your Google Admin console. In the Admin console, go to Menu Devices Chrome. Go to and click Chrome management for signed-in users. Click Edit. Select Apply all user policies when users sign into Chrome, and provide a managed Chrome experience.
