hey letamp;#39;s say Iamp;#39;ve got a list of names in Excel where um some of the first or last names do not use the proper casing that is um perhaps youamp;#39;ve got a first name as in this first example where the first letter of the first name is lowercase or in the second example where the first letter of the last name is in lowercase and itamp;#39;s inconsistent throughout um the remaining names what you can do is you can create a new column as I have here called corrected name and we can automatically correct um all of these casing issues by using a very simple formula called proper Iamp;#39;m going to go into cell B2 the first cell under corrected name say equals proper open parentheses and Iamp;#39;m going to select the text that I want to put into the proper casing format Clos parentheses hit enter and you can see that Daniel Hardyamp;#39;s name has now been um given the proper casing here for his first name um I can autofill the Rest by going down getting my crosshair
