DOT Hazardous Class Warning Labels. Use these department of transportation chemical labels to show the primary hazard class of packages containing hazardous materials.
Open the map in the map viewer, click Details, and click Contents. Browse to the sublayer that contains the features you want to label. Click the arrow to the right of the layer name and click Create Labels.
DOT labels must be diamond shaped, at least 3.9 inches (100mm) on each side. There must be a solid line inner border, located 0.2 to 0.25 inches (5.0 to 6.3 mm) from the edge of the label.
DOT. These are labels or placards that convey hazard information for containers or shipments of hazardous materials. Each label has a characteristic color pattern, pictogram, and hazard class number.
Quickly Style Labels The Labeling tab on the ArcGIS Pro ribbon gives you direct access to the most commonly used tools for styling labels. Select a feature layer and the Labeling tab becomes active and lets you turn labeling off or select a field for labeling. You can also change font type, size, color, and weight.
Labels indicate what kind and how much radioactive material is inside the package. Placards are more durable standard hazmat identifiers, designed to meet certain specifications, and placed on outer containers, trucks, cylinders, or other vehicles used for transport. These are not made of paper.
Labels are used to indicate the hazard of the material being transported and the potential hazards associated with it. Hazmat labels are generally designed in the shape of a diamond (square on point).
Orange represents explosive materials which can include products like dynamite, fireworks and ammunition. These signs typically have the words explosives or blasting agents on them and a graphic indicating something blowing up. Theyll also have the number 1 to indicate the class.
